We here at Death Before Taxes are big fans of the Take Away shows over at La Blogotheque. That being said, I stumbled upon the Lost in the Trees recording yesterday and was really blown away. I am new to this folk orchestra out of Chapel Hill, North Carolina and thought the two videos should be posted. Led by songwriter and composer Ari Picker, Lost in the Trees is something truly special. The songs are both eerie and intimate tying classical composition with folk roots; And while the arrangements are not extremely complex, the vocals and lyrical content come together for something inherently unique.
